God spoke to our forefathers and speaks to us

In the past, God spoke to our forefathers by the prophets at many times and in many ways. Throughout the times He never stopped speaking to those who wanted to listen to Him. He is always prepared to give a listening ear to those who are asking for Him or who want to have an intimate contact with Him.

Two thousand years ago, Jehovah God has kept His promise made in the Garden of Eden and later repeated to many prophets. His promise, or His given Word (the Logos), became a reality by providing the young girl Miriam/Mary with child. God His Word, Which was always with Him, in such way became in the flesh so that it could also become with us by us.

“In the beginning existed the Logos, and the Logos was with God, and the Logos was a god.” (John 1:1 The Monotessaron)

By providing the son of man Jeshua, Jesus, Jehovah God gave the world a by Him authorized spokesperson who could clarify God’s Word, explaining it to those around him and having it written down by his apostles so that we too could read and as such hear those words. This way in these last days, Jehovah God has spoken to us by his beloved son, whom He sent to the world and appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. That son of man, who also is the son of God, is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact imprint of the divine nature. Being the “express image” of God this sent one from God is not only God’s Son, but he is also heir of all things given to Him by his heavenly Father. Jesus was the man of flesh and blood who proved to the world that it is possible for a man to do the Will of God. By doing so he offered himself as a lamb to God to pay for our sins with his blood. Jesus gave his life as a ransom and purged our sins. At first, he was lower than angels but because of what he has done Jehovah God lifted him up and made him higher. Jehovah God took him up with him in heaven to be seated at the right hand of God.

Jesus by bringing the Word of God between all sorts of people sustains all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high and became a speaker in our name, to defend us as the best lawyer.

“ and lo, a voice out of the heavens, saying, {1 } This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. {1) Or This is my Son; my beloved in whom I am well pleased. See Mt 12:18 } (Mt 3:17 ASV)

“ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (Joh 3:16 ASV)

“ God, having of old time spoken unto the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners, hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in {1 } his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the {2 } worlds; {1) Gr a Son 2) Gr ages; Compare 1 Ti 1:17 } who being the effulgence of his glory, and {1 } the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; {1) Or the impress of his substance } having become by so much better than the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, {1 } Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee? and again, {2 } I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son? {1) Ps 2:7. 2) 2 Sa 7:14 } (Heb 1:1-5 ASV)

“ For there is one God, one mediator also between God and men, himself man, Christ Jesus,” (1Ti 2:5 ASV)

“ but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for {1 } sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; {1) Or sins, for ever sat down etc } (Heb 10:12 ASV)

“ But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,” (Ac 7:55 ASV)

“ and to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better {1 } than that of Abel. {1) Or than Abel } (Heb 12:24 ASV)

Centuries before the Messiah (Jesus) came into this world, the Psalmist prophesied of the words of grace that would flow from God his mouth in Whom the psalmist trusted, and we should trust as well.

“You are fairer than the sons of men; grace is poured upon Your lips.”

The manner in which the grace of God guided and poured forth through the words of Jesus set his speech above that of every other person. Those who listened to him during his earthly pilgrimage testified of this fact.

“ And all bare him witness, and wondered at the words of grace which proceeded out of his mouth: and they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?” (Lu 4:22 ASV)

Today we too can bear witness of the testimony brought to us in the book of books. We can marvel at the gracious words which proceeded out of Jesus his mouth but also live by the assurance Jesus gave about the promises his heavenly Father made and how He wants to fulfil His Plan with His Kingdom.

We should listen to the words spoken by the sent one of the Only One True God and should believe the words also which are written down in that Book of books, the Bible, which we consider the infallible Word of God. We also should believe in the promise made in the Garden of Eden, at the beginning of times, but also in the promise spoken out by Jesus and his disciples, making it clear that those who believe that Jesus is the son of God (and not the god son) shall receive life. We should not only believe in that sent one from God, who was declared by God to be His only begotten beloved son, but should also trust his words and be confident that God has accepted his sacrificial offering to pay for the debt we have because of our many sins. Let us put our faith on him who now is the mediator for us by God, sitting at the right Hand of God, and not, as many wants us to believe, that he would sit on God’s Throne after having faked his temptation, torture and death. God cannot be tempted nor tortured nor die, but Jesus was really tempted more than one and bullied and tortured until death.

Today we can direct our eyes unto the sky, with the knowledge that Jesus as the representative of God, is standing there at the right hand of God (Hebrews 1:3; Acts 7:5) and carry his words and his heavenly Father’s Words in our heart as Words of Real Truth. We should not be carried away by the many false human doctrines but keep to the Biblical doctrines. For this we do have the Words God Spoke to His people and His prophets, all written down by those men of God. We can go by them and take those words at heart, for they are words which shall be able to give life and peace to us.

We have no excuse any more that we would not be able to come to hear the Word of God. There are many Bible translations and all over the world there are many people preaching the word of God. Today there are also the electronic tools which bring God His Word far over the borders and seas. In many places on earth can be found people who believe in the Only One True God, Sovereign Maker of all things. They are willing, not only to listen to this God His Words, but also to be workers for Him, witnessing wherever and whenever they can in His Name. This way lots of people should be able to come to hear the Most High Elohim speaking. By hearing those words of God and the by the words and acts of the son of God we all can have the hope in a better future and may trust that one day the Word of God shall be fulfilled and God’s Plan shall be totally realized, finished by the establishment of His Kingdom.

Hearing and believing God’s Words let us be listening children believing in His set apart Words and look forwards to that coming Kingdom of never ending peace.

  1. What was said in the Book of books, was not, in the kindness of God, intended for those only to whom the word came in the first instant, but was at last made as wide as the world to every one that had “ears to hear”. Let us therefore also make it possible that lots of people may hear those set apart Words.
