“Ability that comes from God”

(May 11)

When you read this article it means first of all that you exist and as such have the ability to live and that you are able to read, think and understand. Being able to live we are confronted with choices in our life we have to make.

Lots of people are not able to make choices easily and lots of people let them be led by others to make up their decisions or to take part at certain events or do not mind to be partakers of traditional events and feasts, like Halloween, Christmas and Easter, which are not exactly feast God wants His people to be associated with.

When able to live, one would expect that one is also thankful to the One Who allows that ableness (Ability of body or mind; force; vigor, physical or mental strength, energy). Though lots of people do not want to know about the One Who has given them life.

The majority of people are not interested in God and do not want to be sensitive to what God is doing around them. Though when a person opens his heart and his eyes to see what is going on and how God works in our surroundings that person shall come to be able to see and feel how God will clearly speak to the world by His unstopping activity.

The lover of God has the ability to feel how God works in him. He will know that God is at work, because he shall come to see how impossible things come true. So many events surpass human power and wisdom will not explain it. When you experience events that surpass your understanding and ability, it may be that God is communicating a critical message to you.

If you want to hear God’s voice, look around you to see what He is doing. When you are watching for God at work, what you see will reveal His character, and you will have a fresh understanding of how to respond to Him.

The Divine Creator has given every creature the ability to grow or to expand. Plants and animals can choose how they grow and in which direction they want to go. Human beings can do more than they because they received more abilities. Like plants and animals we do have the ability to breath. Like animals man has the ability to think and to handle. Man has similar instinct as animals but has received more abilities than the other other created beings and has received a free will to decide what to do with those abilities.

With the freedom of choice it is up to man himself to decide what to do with life and which direction to go. Being part of life, the living being can have his or her thoughts wandering about the reasons of life and why and how they should go on with life. Being aware of our abilities in life we also get responsibility.

When studying the Scriptures we shall be able to come to understand God better and to see what His Plan is with humanity. Our study of God’s Word shall also give us more comfort to trust Him and to give ourselves in His Hands, willing to go with Him and to work for Him, doing our best to serve Him.

28 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: (Deuteronomy 28:1BRG Bible)

Having received the ability to live and to be elements living on this earth we too have the responsibility to listen carefully and respond appropriately to the Most High Maker of this universe, so that we can become righteous before God. As we told yesterday, there are people who think we do not have to do any works any more, but they should know that those who still do not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law they shall come under the curse of death.

¹⁰For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. (Galatians 3:10BRG Bible)

When making use of our ability to listen to God and to follow Him we shall feel and see how we shall be enabled to receive already many blessings on this earth in this system of things.

8 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

²And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

³Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

⁴Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

⁵Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

⁶Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

⁷The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

⁸The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

¹²The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

¹³And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

In the Holy Scriptures, the infallible Word of God, we are told how to live and how to make use of our abilities. In those Book of books is being told that man may find different paths on his steps to the future. By using our full ability to think and to consider what is right or wrong we shall find out there are only two ways in life. That which is not right is wrong – and each has the appropriate consequence.

With our ability to live and to think, let us use our given abilities also for the good to live according to the Will of God and doing what God asks from us.

As a result we will surely experience the wonder of the time, indeed the climax, of “the help that comes from God” as God deals with this age of total ungodliness – and the words of the Psalmist will be proved true one final time,
