April 22, 2024 = Nisan 14 Marcus Ampe apologised for the Most Important Day of the Year

Normally we all come together to commemorate Nisan 14. It is the most important day of the year.

On the 14th of Nisan, 2449—two weeks after the dedication of the Tabernacle—Jehovah, the Most High God above all gods, commanded the Jewish people to observe the holiday of Passover. (Since God had previously told the Jews that they were not required to celebrate the feasts before entering the Land of Israel, this exceptional case necessitated an explicit command.)

Through the blood smeared on the lintel and the doorposts, Israel was saved from the tenth plague, the death of the firstborn. The blood of the redeemed, redeemed lamb, the firstborn of Israel. Otherwise they too would have been killed.

It is a holiday that God has said will be celebrated indefinitely. According to tradition, we also adhere to coming together that evening to commemorate the redemption from Egypt and the redemption of all humanity through the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.

Normally Brother Marcus had to be absent this year and would not be able to lead the service because he had to stay in the hospital for an operation. But while writing this article, he received a telephone message from the hospital that after the placement of the third stent, the other operation would not be possible due to the necessity of continuing to take blood thinners to prevent clots in the heart and shall be postponed until September 30.

However, at the previous meeting it had already been announced that there would be no meeting on Nisan 14 this year. But the fact that he is going to lead the service and take the necessary rest does not mean that you cannot gather at your home with a few others to remember this special day.

Brother Marcus Ampe expresses the hope that the ecclesia members of the various ecclesiae will share the table with some friends in their own homes and remember Jesus’ last supper.
