Today’s thought “Call to listen to God ” (December 08)

Daily bible Readings for December 8: Job 10; Micah 6; James 2

Today for the fourth time we come to read in Micah’s prophecy that the city leaders and general population of Judah are called to “listen up” (Micah 1:2; 3:1; 3:9; 6:1).

Each time the prophet has something very important to say to those in Judah. He let the people know they have to hear the Voice of God.

Today we hear that God has a complaint against His Own people. Having a case against His people He wants to bring an accusation against Israel and asks them to listen to His indictment. (Micah 6:1-2)

From the charges against Israel we hear also that God becomes tired by their way of life (Micah 6:3). Jehovah God remembers them what He did for them. (Micah 6:4-6) On His sayings they wonder what they can do for That God. (Micah 6:6-7) The Most High Supreme Elohim reminds them that they should remember how God has told them what is good, and what He requires of mankind. We are reminded that the God of heaven requires to worship Him properly, to do what is right and to walk humbly with Him whilst to love mercy and showing constant love (Micah 6:8).
Let us not forget to have the right fear for That Eternal God, (Micah 6:9) and let us not forget to listen to Him all the time, paying attention to His Voice, His Word given to us in the Holy Scriptures.
