Prayer not a withdrawal from the battles of life

Prayer is not a withdrawal from the battles of life.

Prayer is where we enter battle and call on the armies of heaven
to fight beside, before and within us.
In the words of an old song we,
‘Get down on your knees and fight like a man.’
We call up the big guns to fight the battle
that we can’t win by ourselves.
Life is our attempt, in God’s strength,
to live out the victory won while in prayer.
Fight hard! Pray!
