Today’s thought “Nature declaring God” (December 27)

Job is caught in the storm of life. (Job 37)

Societies have invented gods whom they think control it all. Ancient people hope that by doing or saying the right thing, they can convince the god to send rain when it is needed or stop the damaging hail before their roofs cave in. These pagan worshippers aren’t too far off in their thinking; they just have the wrong god.

Elihu asks Job to listen carefully to the roar of God’s Voice, the rumbling that comes from His mouth.
He says that it is sent to earth. (Job 37:2-3)
As if Job would not know it, Elihu asks to consider God’s wonders and tells him what wonderworks God does, giving earth rain (Job 37:6), giving frost, snow and ice (Job 37:6,9-10).

For lots of things that happen in nature we do have no explanation. Lots of scientists by the years presented several theories.

What the majority of people do not see is that The Maker Has everything under control and around God is an awesome majesty.
The glory of God is declared by everything that we can see around us in nature.

“1  «For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.» The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament showeth his handiwork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, And night unto night showeth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language; Their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoiceth as a strong man to run his course.” (Ps 19:1-5 ASV)

Many cannot find ElShaddai, The One Who is great in power and justice, and Who does not oppress abundant righteousness.
People better fear Him Who is the Creator and Sustainer of everything and Who does not regard all the wise of heart. (Job 37:22-24)
