If there is one thing people like to talk about in England and Belgium, it’s the weather!
As we approach the Summer Holidays there are those who want sunny days for their holiday, and farmers who want rain for their crops. There are those who dislike the heat and long for cooler days, and those who long to feel the heat on their faces. Whatever the weather – we know it is provided by our Heavenly Father.
Leviticus 26 v 4 tells us “ then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase…”
Genesis 8 v 22 reads “ while the earth remains, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease”.
So, whenever we talk about the weather, let us remember that this is given to us, and is a wonderful example of the power and might of our God.
Thank you for the rain you send to water the ground,
and thank you for the sunshine that warms.
Thank you for the mighty thunder which we know is your voice,
and the beautiful snowflakes which show your handiwork.
Thank you for revealing yourself to us in the wonders of your creation
and may we be thankful for all the seasons we enjoy.
