Russia vows to target British weapons as UK missile downs helicopter

Russia’s ambassador to the UK has warned that British weapons supplied to Ukraine are “legitimate targets” for the Russian army. Andrey Kelin made the warning on Saturday as Vladimir Putin’s forces struggled to make gains in the country. The UK has already supplied President Volodymyr Zelensky’s forces with thousands of Javelin and NLAW anti-tank missiles, which have been used to deadly effect. Footage emerged on Friday of a British Starstreak missile downing a Russian Mi-28N attack helicopter in the Luhansk region. The missile is thought to be the fastest air to ground missile in the world. Speaking to Russian news agency TASS, Mr Kelin branded the supply of British weapons “destabilising”, adding:

“They exacerbate the situation, making it even bloodier. Apparently, those are new, high-precision weapons. “Naturally, our armed forces will view them as a legitimate target if those supplies get through the Ukrainian border.”

Britain’s response to Russia’s Ukraine invasion is particularly riling Putin. Not only are Britain’s weapons causing many Russian casualties but Boris Johnson is the most vocal out of all Western leaders in urging them to do more from a military perspective to counter Putin’s advances. Johnson says he is not anti Russian but ‘deeply hostile’ towards leader Vladimir Putin. We are told the king of the south (UK/US) will “push” at Putin. The word “push” in Hebrew is written in the sense of “an intensive action”. It is also written in the sense of “thrusting back and forth.” We therefore see that the push is not just one way – Putin will respond back – it is an intense push. Leading to more war.

Then at the time of the end, the king of the south will attack [gore] the king of the north. The king of the north will storm out with chariots, charioteers, and a vast navy. He will invade various lands and sweep through them like a flood. He will enter the glorious land of Israel. (Daniel 11:40 NLT)
