A breathing ecclesia

Real followers of Christ should know that such following demands some actions. Gathering together is essential regardless of where or how. We should not hesitate to invite others to talk about God and His Plans. Those loyal to God are requested to gather in God’s Name. The set-apart ones or holy ones should round up or gather together to Jehovah God, as people who have made a covenant with God by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

When we love Christ and want to go in his footsteps we may not forsake our own assembling together, or not avoid worshipping together as some try to do, finding excuses for not assembling with others.

“ Gather my saints together unto me, Those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” (Ps 50:5 ASV)

We do not need a big church to come together. A small place as a living room is as good as any church hall and better than having to meet in a café or public space.

In a house environment, it shall feel more comfortable to share ideas with each other and after reading the Bible it shall be easier to exhort one another, spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.

“ not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.” (Heb 10:25 ASV)

Gathering is also strategic, essential to a nation. The coming together with the feeling one has something in common makes one stronger. We should be pleased to come together, having Jesus as our mediator by God. With our eyes on Jesus being the cornerstone of our community we shall be able to feel the breath of God and become inspired by God’s Spirit. Together sharing our stories and ideas, as brothers and sisters, expressing our hope in Christ, such a close contact in a house shall always be warmer than in a big church. It shall also inspire us and give us joy. From fellowshipping with other believers who walk in the joy of Jehovah God, the feeling of a growing satisfying life gets stronger, and makes us going over all those difficult things of this world like they are nothing to what God has for us in the ‘afterlife’.

But when the small group shall grow and become too big for gatherings in a living than naturally, the group shall have to look out for a bigger meeting place or an ecclesia hall. The breath of one person should bring breath to another, and from that other person it should go to again another, and as such more and more people should come to feel the breath of a group of believers who are united in their faith. Together those united will form an ecclesia and as a nation they shall need some people taking care of the proper organisation. But other than worldly nations, the ecclesia is part of a greater and more spiritual nation where the leader is Jesus Christ, and not some one else demanding to be followed. Each member of the ecclesia should present himself or herself as a servant, like Jesus took on the role of servant when he was here on earth some two thousand years ago.
