In the light even of how we speak nowadays, we can easily see what Moses meant when he told Pharaoh he would see his face “no more” (Exod. x. 29). Moses, at the command of God, had given Pharaoh many opportunities to ward oft impending trouble, but the limit of patience and forbearance had been reached; hence, the next time they met, it was not for a tete-a-tete, but for a final message of divine indignation (Exod. xi. 4-8).
