The Way of the LORD

“For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep THE WAY OF THE LORD, to do righteousness and justice …” Gen.18:19

“Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches HIS WAY.” Psa.25:8-9

“Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in YOUR WAY.” Psa.119:37

“…and did not walk in THE WAY OF THE LORD.” 2 Kings 21:22

We have a choice between the broad and narrow ways. Jesus says that the narrow way leads to life (Matt.7:13-14). Later in the first century early Christians became known as, ‘the Way’ (Acts 19:23, 24:14, 22).

In 2 Peter 2:2 we have the one true way contrasted with false prophets and their many ‘destructive ways’.

The LORD’S Way is mentioned many times in Scripture.

The ‘wrong way’ is called the broad way which leads to destruction.

How ironic that the very popular street in New York where all the ‘look at me’ people strut their stuff is called, ‘Broadway’.
