Around twenty five young people aged around fifteen converged on Newbury for a weekend of praise and fun. A good and varied programme was arranged by Fiona and Lauren – who were kept far too busy to take photos, sorry folks – culminating in a lively praise session on Sunday after lunch. Many others worked tirelessly as hosts, chauffeurs and cooks to give a large and lively band of teenagers a wonderful church experience.
During the Sunday morning service, Lauren and friends provided a beautiful rendition of ‘The Lord is my salvation’ accompanied by Fiona on the piano. Jon’s theme of Love ran throughout the weekend and food, laughter and fellowship were all in likewise plentiful supply. All in all making this a very positive start to the official start of summer.
