This year’s Cycle for Uganda event will take place on Saturday 9th June, God willing, and is an 89 mile ride around the Avon Cycleway (a national cycle route in the Bristol area) with options of a shorter 41 mile ride or a longer 101 mile ride to cater for all abilities.
The Christadelphians are raising funds to support orphans throughout Uganda and also install further water harvesting systems in villages.
The inaugural ride in 2014 saw the Christadelphians completing the whole 88 miles of the Avon Cycleway and raised over £6,000 for the Namisindwa Orphanage. In recent years we have raised funds to install water collection systems using guttering and water tanks to provide a reliable source of water to drought susceptible communities.
We had a very successful ride last year with 48 cyclists taking part and raised enough money to fund five water storage tanks.
