Memorizing wonderfully 28 The one teaching about the Kingdom

1 And seeing the multitudes, He went up into a mountain:  And when He was set, His disciples came unto Him:

2 And He opened His mouth, and taught them saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven –

Enter ye in at the strait gate: For wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

  1. The light of the body is the eye: If therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

“Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide {1} is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby. {1) Some ancient authorities omit [is the gate]} {1} For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it. {1) Many ancient authorities read [How narrow is the gate, etc]}” (Mt 7:13-14 ASV)

“wherein ye once walked according to the {1} course of this world, according to the prince of the {2} powers of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience; {1) Gr [age] 2) Gr [power]} among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the {1} mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:— {1) Gr [thoughts]}” (Eph 2:2-3 ASV)
