Memorizing wonderfully 1 Introduction

Today we start with a new series.

In this world there are many religious groups. Even in those groups there may be lot of different subgroups. Sometimes one of those groups not liking the other or not willing to co-operate with each other.

For a lover of God it is important to know that it is God Who knows the heart and He Who decides which traject or path a person might walk before he or she reaches the end goal. Reaching that goal, entering the small gate to the Kingdom of God should be are goal. We all should be aiming to go to that never ending light and to join hands with those others who love God.

We should aim to be under the the Lord’s happiness’ which is the “Crown of Righteousness” (2 Timothy 4: 8). For us it is important to make choices in our life and to know to whom we want to belong. In the end you should belong to God and not to a particular organisation but being happy to be in one of the many parts of the body of Christ.

In our life it matters to be willing to belong to God. In our life we by our example should show we are faithful to God and His sent one unto death, so that we shall be worthy to receive the crown of life. (Revelation 2:10).

When we are truthful in the silly things and the talents we have been sent to, we then may think about the well-known words:

“Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into your master’s happiness.”

In the Holy Scriptures there are thousands of verses we should take at heart. Those verses in each of these symbols give the same perspective. In fact, in the races of the ancient days and at the end of the rally race, the crown to the one who successfully ran in the race can find the custom.

The race is not enough to mingle (to attend) or to run away, but at the same time it is necessary to run in faith and to the end.

As the followers of Jesus Christ (as disciples), we have to run to the Lord in the races we run, but we must persevere in the end and continue to persevere. Then our reward will be a crown of life. It is a crown of righteousness in this regard, since only those who recognize God are justified and glorified. Our belief is that we should be recognized in our hearts.

The justice of the Lord will be fulfilled to those who walk in the Spirit without walking in the flesh. Those who love Him and worship Him will be rewarded with a promised promise.
Thus, He has promised to give the “living crown” to those who remain faithful to the end.

To help ourselves to remain faithful it is not bad to use some memorization.

Bible memorization can bring us the eternal little fire in our heart making our gaze on the Most High Divine Creator and His sent one (Jesus) steadier and clearer. By guarding ourselves according to the Word of God we shall be able to guard ourself and making sure we might not sin against Jehovah God. (Psalm 119:9, 11).

By regularly taking up verses in our mind we take the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17) with us.

It is not bad to remember Proverbs 25:11 which says,

Proverbs 25:11 The Scriptures 1998+ (11) A word spoken at the right time Is like apples of gold in settings of silver.

If we have given even minimal attention to God’s Word, we know that He wants us to grow in sound biblical understanding, but He also gives us enough material to apply in our daily life. When calling ourselves Christian we should also follow up the task Jesus has given his followers and should or ought to be teachers. We at certain times need someone to teach us again the first principles of the oracles of God; and we have come to need milk and not solid food.

Hebrews 5:12 The Scriptures 1998+ (12) For indeed, although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first elements of the Words of Elohim. And you have become such as need milk and not solid food.

By regular Bible reading, underlining bits and by memorizing verses we will humbly feed on God’s word. Taking part of regular Bible reading and Bible study we not only show our will for seeking Him for spiritual insight, by taking the time for this we shall be strengthening ourselves. In turn God “will perfect that which concerns [us] ” in this area of life.

If we care about the Will of God for our overall spiritual development, we know His word calls us to godliness.

Titus 2:11-12 The Scriptures 1998+ (11) For the saving Gift of Elohim has appeared to all men, (12) instructing us to renounce wickedness and worldly lusts, and to live sensibly, righteously, and reverently in the present age,

Regularly we shall have to face people who would love to destroy us or to get us from the right path. Regularly we shall be tempted to do certain things. Every time over and over we shall examine what we want to do and how we want to do it. Sometimes it is not bad to discuss such matters with friends and to take time with each other to examine things and together looking for ways to solve the problems and to continue on the path to the small gate on the narrow road.

We must know that the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, but not to all shall it be given to enter the narrow gate.

By memorizing certain particular important verses about attitude or behaviour, which teach us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, we shall have something to remember it and to have a tool for ongoing growth in godliness, so that Jehovah “will perfect that which concerns [us] ” in this area as well.

We are thankful to Bro. Curtis H. Brittle who shall go with us through the books of the Bible and shall provide us with the verses and comments to them, from part 5 onwards.
