We have come in a season of which people say it is “The Time of the year‘. One of the natural periods into which the year is divided by the equinoxes and solstices or atmospheric conditions, “the regular sequence of the seasons” is also called “Time of the year“, but in this instance people do want to mean more than the Winter-solstice, the coldest season of the year in the northern hemisphere extending from the winter solstice to the vernal equinox.

Many tales of the periods before may be exchanged. Many a month before Christmas already are looking forward to the Christmas specials and Christmas music and all of ‘that hahaha’ as their favourite holiday.
Atheists/agnostics and many others who say they believe in a god or in gods celebrate Christmas. It means everything they do and say on Christmas isn’t for the sake of Christ.

For many youngsters it may not be know how their parents were sitting down on the couch in the 60s playing songs on their scratchy record player as they opened presents that unveiled toys, underwear and socks. All with only the light of the Christmas Tree and the fireplace. The smell of hot cocoa and cookies were in the air as the family enjoyed Christmas morning in their pyjamas after having had a long night having gone to the Christmas eve mass service.

The previous night and days they had heard about prophesies that had come true. They had heard about visions which were foretold and had become a reality by which even King Herod could not stop it. But God His hand could stop the astrologers going to the king again to tell him were the most important child, that was going to be a special king, the king of the Jews, who was going to be the King of kings, was born.

For sure then as know there was not a faithful city Zechariah had spoken of. This later prophet who returned from exile in Babylon wrote prophecies that have a last days and kingdom era application. He had visions of the better times which would come to man where god was going to recognise His people (Zechariah 8:3,8,9).

Shamefully we are not yet in the time when the Most High Host of hosts can see many under the living to be part of His people “in faithfulness and in righteousness” even not yet after He had given mankind His only begotten son some 2000 years ago.

The root from David has sprung already and we have been given all chances to come to recognise the send one from God. All mankind has received enough opportunities to be able to recognise the Nazarene master teacher, rabbi Jeshua as their saviour. Many who are saying they look forward to Christmas because then they have the reason for the season to celebrate his birth, do forget he was not at all born in December and God never gave the task to celebrate Jesus’ birth. God even did not let his birth day recorded in the Bible. In case He would have thought it important He would have let us known, is it not?

Though lots of people claim that they are celebrating this Winter, like every year in December, him as the “Wonderful”, the “Light” for us. but they seem to stay in the dark and do not see how the man Jesus really gave his life for all of us. God can not die but Jesus really did, though still many Christians keep taking Jesus as their god and say he is the Almighty God the Most High.

Isaiah 9:6 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6 The Scriptures 1998+ (6) For a Child shall be born unto us, a Son shall be given unto us, and the rule is on His shoulder. And His Name is called Wonder, Counsellor, Strong Ěl, Father of Continuity, Prince of Peace.

In many songs the words “mighty god” were taken up but people forgot it was about a mighty high god or a high placed person, like Pharaoh, Moses, Apollo, Zeus and many others were called god. Those gods were not the Most High Power and God of gods. Today there are still lots of people making modern gods, like football-stars, television- and film-stars.
Jesus was and is still a very important person (a god if you want) but not the Upper God, the God of Abraham.

The prophets Isaiah and Zecharia speak about the one promised in the Garden of Eden, long before Abraham was born, whose name is called the Messenger of great counsel who will bring peace upon the princes and to the prisoners of the congregation or society, and health and salvation to us all and which vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its produce and the remnant of this people shall come to possess all these things.

But those who want to call themselves “People of God” shall not only have to obey their God but also have to speak the truth to one another; rendering in their gates judgements that are true and they shall have to go making peace. Today we can see more people creating dissatisfaction and making trouble.

They who call this the ‘Time of the year’ should wonder if it is because they expect to receive lots of presents or do they really want to look at the most precious present the world got? For those who believe in God and study His Word daily, we can see what is going on in the world and how Satan is getting loose and angry.

Zechariah is told that at that time God’s people will hold fasts, a prelude to

“seasons of joy and gladness and cheerful feasts” (verse 19).

His next words then jump out at us – and into our minds,

“Therefore love truth and peace”.

There will be “cheerful feasts” of a sort in coming days, but those participating will not “love truth and peace” as a result.

We see lots of people who are part of denominations but have no active Christian life at all. As is written in the Holy Scriptures the people turned not until they were smitten, and they sought not the Most High God. And they that pronounce this people that loves God and God is willing to bless shall be mislead. We must know that God shall not take pleasure in their young men, neither shall He have pity on their orphans or on their widows: for they are all transgressors and wicked, and every mouth speaks unjustly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but His hand is yet exalted.

Zechariah 9:13-16 The Scriptures 1998+ (13) “For I shall bend Yehuḏah for Me, I shall fill the bow with Ephrayim, and I shall stir up your sons, O Tsiyon, against your sons, O Greece, and I shall make you like the sword of a mighty man.” (14) And יהוה {Jehovah} shall appear for them, and His arrow go forth like lightning, and the Master יהוה {Jehovah} sound the ram’s horn. And He shall go with whirlwinds from the south, (15) יהוה {Jehovah} of hosts shall shield them. And they shall devour and trample on sling stones. And they shall drink, roar as if with wine, and they shall be filled like basins, like the corners of the altar. (16) And יהוה {Jehovah} their Elohim shall save them in that day, as the flock of His people, for the stones of a diadem, sparkling over His land.

Knowing that the Host of hosts shall defend those who even when its late in their life, shall come to Him, He shall accept them as His. Because His only begotten son has given his life as a ransom, all penalty is being paid by that son and he has made an end to the penalty of death.

Though we see many who devour, and subdue with sling stones; and people who drink, and make a noise as through wine, being filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar, there is the truth of God which shall bring everything like God wants it. Jehovah shall be seen over them and many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favour of Jehovah.

We have come in a time were it is very important that lovers of God speak the truth and let other come to know the Most High.

Zechariah 8:7-23 The Scriptures 1998+ (7) “Thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘See, I am saving My people from the land of the sunrise and from the land of the sunset. (8) ‘And I shall bring them back, and they shall dwell in the midst of Yerushalayim. And they shall be My people, and I shall be their Elohim, in truth and in righteousness.’ (9) “Thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘Let your hands be strong, you who are listening in these days to these words, from the mouth of the prophets, of the day the foundation was laid for the House of יהוה of hosts, the Hĕḵal that was to be rebuilt.
(10) ‘For before these days there was not a wage for a man, nor a hire for beast, and there was no peace for him who went out or came in, because of his enemies, and I set all men one against another. (11) ‘But now I am not as in the former days to the remnant of this people,’ declares יהוה of hosts. (12) ‘Because of the sowing of peace the vine does give its fruit, the ground does give her increase, and the heavens do give their dew. And I shall cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these.
(13) ‘And it shall be, as you were a curse among the gentiles, O house of Yehuḏah and house of Yisra’ĕl, so I shall save you, and you shall be a blessing. Do not fear, let your hands be strong.’
(14) “For thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘As I purposed to do evil to you when your fathers provoked Me,’ declares יהוה of hosts, ‘and I did not relent, (15) so again in these days I have purposed to do good to Yerushalayim and to the house of Yehuḏah. Do not fear!
(16) ‘These are the words you should do: speak the truth to one another, judge with truth and right-ruling for peace in your gates. (17) ‘And do not plot evil in your heart against another, and do not love a false oath. For all these I hate,’ declares יהוה.”
(18) And the word of יהוה of hosts came to me, saying,
(19) “Thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘The fast of the fourth, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth months, are to be joy and gladness, and pleasant appointed times for the house of Yehuḏah – and they shall love the truth and the peace.’ (20) “Thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘Peoples shall yet come, inhabitants of many cities,
(21) and the inhabitants of the one go to another, saying, “Let us earnestly go and pray before יהוה, and seek יהוה of hosts. I myself am going.” (22) ‘And many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek יהוה of hosts in Yerushalayim, and to pray before יהוה.’
(23) “Thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘In those days ten men from all languages of the nations take hold, yea, they shall take hold of the edge of the garment of a man, a Yehuḏite1, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that Elohim is with you.” ’ ” Footnote: 1John 4:22.

Only because God allowed Jesus to be born salvation can come over us by him. In case God would not have accepted the peace offering by Jesus, we would be nothing with him gone at the stake. It is God Who gave the Messiah and Who accepted Jesus his ransom. We can now go with that Jew who was willing to give his life for us.

We can accept the truth that Jehovah the Host of hosts said

In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you’” (Zechariah 8: 22,23).

What is a Jew? Ultimately they are all people who belong to God, having committed their lives to him. Look at tomorrow’s chapter in Revelation,

Revelation 7:9-12 The Scriptures 1998+ (9) After this I looked and saw a great crowd which no one was able to count, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, and palm branches in their hands, (10) and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Deliverance belongs to our Elohim who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (11) And all the messengers stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped Elohim, (12) saying, “Amĕn! The blessing, and the esteem, and the wisdom, and the thanksgiving, and the respect, and the power, and the might, to our Elohim forever and ever. Amĕn.”

Instead of partaking heathen feasts real Christians better should keep to the Biblical truth and do what God pleases and not other man. Let us be part of the great multitude that no one could number the ransomed ones, from every nation, from all … languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes … crying out with a loud voice,
