Hope by faith and free gift

On July the 30th we have the readings of the apostle Paul, who first demonstrated that Jews and Gentiles alike are sinners in the eyes of God and therefore worthy of death but that the gentiles also can be accepted by God and though not physically circumcised can be spiritually circumcised. (This aspect was subject of our Tuesday meeting.)

Today with Romans 5 and 6 we look at the fruits of righteousness (Romans 5:1-11), man’s righteousness contrasted with God’s gift (Romans 5:12-21) and the sanctification (Romans 6:1-23).

Having been declared righteous, then, by faith, we have peace toward God through our Lord Jesus Christ. It is that Nazarene man who shows the way to his heavenly Father, the God of Abraham, who is the Only One God.

In our life we do come across a lot of trouble. We do have to grow up by falling and standing up. We are often mocked at because we do have faith in the Most High Divine God. We show to others that we are pleased that by Christ Jesus we have the access by the faith into this grace in which we have stood, and we boast on the hope of the glory of God. Yes even in the more difficult moments or in tribulations we want to continue believing in what we think is the Truth. We do want to continue to follow the path Jesus prepared for us. Even when we not have it easy we do know those difficulties can make us stronger, knowing that the tribulation does work endurance; and the endurance, experience; and the experience, hope.

We are also not afraid to show our hope which does not make us ashamed, because the love of God has been poured forth in our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.

We can rejoice because we are convinced that all the events which have been foretold became a reality and showed us that God is “a living God” ready to be involved in the lives of those who are willing to have Him enter their souls.

Though we may be afflicted in every way, we shall not be crushed. More than once we may be perplexed, but not driven to despair. We also have many brethren and sisters who are persecuted, but they are not forsaken. Many may want us to abase or struck us down but shall not be able to destroy us. (2 Corinthians 4:8,9).

Been declared righteous now in Jeshua his blood, we shall be saved through him from the wrath; for if, being enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of His Son. The Bible tells us it is even more, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved in his life.

The master teacher asked his disciples to go out in the world and to preach the Gospel, the Good News of the coming Kingdom. Therefore we as followers of Christ Jesus should also be boasting in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom now we did receive the reconciliation.

The world has received the gift which is of many offences to a declaration of ‘Righteous‘ by which our fear should be taken away, when we are living according to God’s commandments.

The person who has been justified by God’s grace has a new, higher, and nobler motivation for holiness than the shallow, hypocritical self-righteousness or fear that seems to motivate so many religious people today. The person who has truly been justified is truly ‘Pleased to do the Father’s will‘ and rejoice by the hope he may have by his faith!
