Increased in wisdom in favour with God

“Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature (or years) and in favour with God and man” (Luke 2:52).

Man is a difficult being often not willing to see how things really are, but just wanting things his own way. It is true that man may be influenced by many other man. The most beautiful example of this can be seen in Christendom where lots of Christians are not willing to see the truth because they prefer to stick with their man made doctrine of a tri-une god.

We do agree that it is not at all always to recognise the Truth. But with the knowledge that the Divine Creator is a God of order and a God of love, not hiding things for His creations, we should trust God giving us enough opportunities to come to know Him and to come to know His Plans.

But God want us to do something as well. God wants us to search for Him and to look carefully. God wants us to take up the effort to come to more wisdom. He gave His son to the world and told the people who were standing around Jeshua (Jesus Christ) in the river Jordan, that it was His son. Today we still see too many Christians not willing to accept this. They do not seem to see how that son had to learn everything and to find his way in life, like we have to do. But Jesus was willing to do everything what God wanted him to do. Not his will Jesus wanted to follow, but the will of God. Trinitarians should notice that in case Jesus is God Jesus would always have done the will of himself, being God. But not being God, Jesus had all the reason to tremble at certain moments and to sweat water and blood when the moment came closer that he had to face trial and death.

God has nothing to fear of man. God also knows that nobody could do Him a thing. God also knows everything belongs to Him and that He is the Only One where off can be said He is omnipotent, all-knowing and eternal. God has no beginning or end, yet all things begin and end through Him. He created all things with His words and everything He created still holds together today because of Him, as evidenced in Romans 11:33-36

Rom 11:26-36 The Scriptures 1998+  (26)  And so all Yisra’ĕl shall be saved, as it has been written, “The Deliverer shall come out of Tsiyon, and He shall turn away wickedness from Yaʽaqob,  (27)  and this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.”1 Footnote: 1Isa. 59:20-21.  (28)  Truly, as regards the Good News they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers.  (29)  For the gifts and the calling of Elohim are not to be repented of.  (30)  For as you also at one time disobeyed Elohim, but now have obtained compassion through their disobedience,  (31)  so also these have now disobeyed, that through the compassion shown you they also might obtain compassion.  (32)  For Elohim has shut them all up to disobedience, in order to have compassion on all.  (33)  Oh, the depth of riches, and wisdom and knowledge of Elohim! How unsearchable His judgments and untraceable His ways!  (34)  “For who has known the mind of  יהוה {Jehovah}? Or who has become His counsellor?”  (35)  “Or who first gave to Him, and it shall be given back to him?”  (36)  Because of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all, to whom be esteem forever. Amĕn.

The God of heavens and earth provided a solution against the sin of man. This promised one came to be born some two thousand years ago. He went walking through the region, did several incredible things, called miracles and surprised many by his special way of teaching. He showed people that he had a good understanding of the Scriptures. He very well knew the writings of the old scribes, the men of Israel. Already when he was only twelve the people in the temple were surprised of his knowledge. But Jesus took no pride and continued to help people to have a better life and showing them the Way to life and the Way to God.

Continually he referred to the scrolls asking of everybody around him to take up the Word of God and to study it. May we all do the same as Jesus did, loving the Word of God and studying it regularly and thoroughly. Although it is becoming increasingly difficult to increase Biblical knowledge in favour with our fellow humans, because of the great God-less state of the world that is now around us; but this will lead us to say with greater fervency and meaning,

“My soul longs for your salvation”.

  • Why Faith? (conquerorshots.com)
Faith in God and His Sovereignty over His Creations is the process by which we have access into this grace in which we stand.
    +

We trust in the actual existence of God, confirmed in Jesus Christ who loved us and gave Himself for us giving us newness of life by the regeneration of our spirits.  Through our daily surrender to Him by faith our spirits are renewed, our minds are transformed and our bodies become representative of His life  In us. We become new creations In Christ. This is the fundamental meaning of our directive to “get & stay In Position!” Being justified by this faith, we have peace with God and we become joint heirs with Jesus Christ making us more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

  • Suffering Persecution for Jesus Christ is Glory (endtimesprophecyreport.com)
Suffering persecution for the cause of Jesus Christ, far from being the “wrath of God” as the apostate churches like to teach, is a testimony.

Suffering persecution is both a testimony of those who have faith in Jesus Christ and a testimony against the persecutors.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort.
  • Paul Washer: Not Being Uninformed (psalm115three.com)
As Christians we need to be growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and not to be swallowed up in ignorance. Being uninformed and ignorant in areas of the Christian life leads us to unnecessary grief.
  • Letter to Ephesus – Chapter One (eudoranachand.wordpress.com)
Twice now, Paul has already separated Yahwey from Yahushua in the opening of this letter by saying he is an apostle of Yahushua by the will of Yahwey and that he is sending a blessing from ‘God our Father’ AND from ‘the Lord Jesus Christ’. I can accept that Paul was chosen by Yahushua because Paul was an earthling when Yahushua found him on the road to Damascus. Yahushua chose Paul by the will of Yahushua. Yahushua was sent from the Father to do the will of the Father.
  • Understands and Knows (4110fearnot.wordpress.com)
Today is a great day to get closer with the One who created the Earth. Remember He desires that you know and love Him more than offerings and sacrifices. He wants an intimate relationship with you, and that alone is the only way you can come to a deeper knowledge and love for Christ. Dig deep into His Word. Drown yourself in prayer. Treasure your time with Him.
  • Who Will We Reach? (foolforhim.wordpress.com)
The apostle wrote, “First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, (1 Timothy 2:1-4 NASB). Later, in that same context, Paul wrote, “Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension,” (1 Timothy 2:8 NASB). Does that sound like Paul wanted Christians to retreat to their own little world and refuse to teach others?
  • Not From Man (hiwaychristian.wordpress.com)
There can be purity and the Gospel, and surely is, because it did not originate among men.  The entirety of the Gospel is from God and belongs to God.  It cannot be touched or destroyed by any man.  And the Gospel is sustained among men by the power of the Holy Son of God.
  • Hope in a World of Despair (faithandfootsteps.wordpress.com)
Talk to many people in America nowadays and it won’t take long before the conversation turns to despair.  Maybe it’s the pessimistic world we live in, but people love to perpetuate the idea that things are going downhill fast.
  • The Judas Effect (christianity201.wordpress.com)
be careful where you place Judas. He did the will of the Father and fulfilled the Scriptures. Peter, who we all love, tried to prevent Jesus’ crucifixion and was called “Satan” by our Lord. Peter, who was not mindful of the will of God, was restored. Was it not Jesus who said, “”For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.” (Matthew 12:50) Be careful about placing Jesus’s brother, Judas, in Christendom’s “hell.” One day you may have to look up to Judas, instead of looking down on him. Peter denied him three times in one night while Judas declared Jesus innocent in front of the High Priesthood. Judas had a very important job in the Kingdom of God. For three and one half years, as a Priest he inspected the Lamb of God as an unbiased man. He was not “one of them” a Galilean. He was the outsider. He did his job perfectly. If Judas really wanted to mess things up, he could have agreed with the High Priesthood and called Him a “blasphemer” who claimed to be the Son of God when He really wasn’t. But Judas declared the Lamb spotless and unblemished*, the Perfect Passover.
